Hello everyone, this is Kazemura from BROTURES Yokohama. Though it's a bit late, allow me to introduce myself. I've been working at BROTURES for nearly four years now, and this is my first time writing a blog post. I'm not the best with words, so please bear with me as I share my thoughts.
For those who haven't visited the Yokohama store, here is a little background: I've been into fixed gear bikes since high school, about ten years now, and I've ridden many different bikes. Enough about me. Let's get right into the main topic: an NJS frame build I recently worked on—a STRATOS NJS Frame.
This frame is a stunning example of NJS craftsmanship with its classic coloring and sparkle. The customer picked it up at a flea market at a keirin race track—I'm a bit jealous! Given the high-quality NJS frame, we mainly chose NJS-certified parts to maintain the authentic vibe while ensuring it's suitable for street riding.
SUGINO SG75 CRANK
This crank needs no introduction. It's the go-to choice if you're unsure about cranks. It offers excellent precision, rigidity, and weight. The robust feel and solid performance are something everyone should experience.
The chainring is a SUGINO SSG144 45T.
The simple design matches the frame perfectly. We opted for a 45T chainring paired with a 16T cog, which is ideal for street riding. The customer also plans to hit the track further down the road, so we went with a slightly smaller cog.
He already had a good crank installed and wanted to get the best performance out of it, so we used the HATTA R9400 bottom bracket. To fully leverage the excellent crank, this BB was the top choice. It's a cup-and-cone type, which may require occasional maintenance but offers unparalleled performance if y ou take good care of it.

NOVACORONA TITAN COG
Light and precise, this cog is a joy to handle. It also comes with a chain tensioner to keep everything in place.
We paid special attention to the wheels:
SHIMANO DURA-ACE TRACK HUB HB-7600 paired with ARAYA RC-540 rims.
The customer wanted to use DURA-ACE hubs, so we recommended these rims. With 36H clincher rims, options are limited, but these ARAYA rims are incredibly light—80g lighter than the popular H PLUS SON TB-14. Lightweight rims make for easier riding and are strong enough for regular use. The slightly softer rim absorbs shocks well, which is great for city streets.
I'm often asked which hubs turn the best, and I say the same thing every time. DURA-ACE is always recommended for those asking about the best spinning hubs. If you take good care of your bike, I'm sure you'll find the one best for you.
The customer also insisted on white parts, which look fantastic against the blue frame.
The white saddle is no longer in production, so grab one if you find it!
