Thanks to all of you, we have been in business for 15 years, and I feel truly blessed to see our bikes on the streets every day. In 2025, BROTURES has embraced the theme "Support Your Local Fixie Shop" with a mission to preserve and pass on fixed-gear culture. We are committed to working hand in hand with fixed-gear bike shops not only in Japan but around the world.

This time, we have traveled to PEDALTO WORKS DONGGUAN, which has just opened as the third store in China, starting from Xi'an. I am visiting together with BROTURES rider Ayumu, whose trick videos are currently going viral in China.

Dongguan is a city known for its thriving manufacturing industry and high-quality production. Many popular street brands that you love are made in this area, so you might be using their products without even realizing it. It is also located about 40 minutes by car from Hong Kong and is filled with young people who are highly attuned to trends and fashion. The area has a stylish atmosphere where Chinese history blends with Western culture, making you almost forget that you are in China—in a good way.

In recent years, the number of fixed-gear riders has rapidly increased, and the scene is experiencing an incredible surge in excitement!

One characteristic of the fixed-gear bike scene in this area is the prevalence of SKREAM, due to its proximity to Hong Kong. However, the reality is that there are also many cheap manufacturers and counterfeit brands circulating in the market. Then, BROTURES brought its items and held an Alleycat race and a welcome party to fulfill the owner's, Dali's, desire for people to experience authentic products.

While Alleycat races are often held guerrilla-style on the streets, seeing them take place on a large scale, in collaboration with the local economy and taking over the city, reflects their commitment to passing down and nurturing the culture for future generations.

We also held a talk session on the theme, "How can the fixed-gear bike culture take root, rather than just being a trend?" with trick rider Ayumu, local brand owners, and creators. I believe it provided an opportunity for people to understand the importance of riding in a cool and smart way, rather than engaging in dangerous riding.
